STRATEGY & TARGETS

Our sustainability strategy is designed to create a business with the right balance of people, planet and profit. Our first sustainability strategy was introduced in 2015. In 2019 we created a new strategy with the ultimate goal being to deliver long-term value creation. We’re serious about achieving growth – and we’re serious about growing in a way that adds social value and reduces environmental impact.

Our sustainability strategy is based on the United Nations’s Sustainable Development Goals. We take our responsibility seriously and we adopt a holistic, sustainable approach to all our business processes. It’s all about the optimum balance for people, planet and profit. There’s a detailed sustainability strategy chapter in each year’s sustainability report.

29 SUSTAINABILITY TARGETS

We’ve set 29 specific targets across three aspirational goal areas covering the workplace, environment and community. All are aligned to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Our targets cover factory inspection, living wages, supply chain transparency, gender parity and much more.

A target driven culture is vital to ensure we make good progress with our sustainability goals and that our teams understand what success looks like. Our 2019 Sustainability Report details all our targets. The summary of our targets start on page 6 of the report.
